How CX Radio handles saved stations, directory searches, and connections to live radio streams.
About this policy
CX Radio is provided by Coetic X LLC. Contact us at arber@coetic-x.com for privacy questions, support, or a request concerning a station listing.
Effective date: 1 October 2026. This policy covers the CX Radio app and its static product, support, and privacy pages.
CX Radio is a free radio player. You do not need a CX Radio account. The app does not include a CX Radio analytics SDK or advertising SDK, and Coetic X LLC does not insert advertisements into playback. Stations and their streaming providers may include their own advertisements.
Information stored on your device
The app stores your saved stations, names and HTTPS stream URLs for stations you add, up to 30 recently played stations, and cached directory results and server information on your device. Directory cache entries can include the station search terms and genre filters used to obtain those results. This information is used to provide favorites, recent listening, and cached discovery results. It is not synchronized to a CX Radio account or sent to a Coetic X account service.
Favorites stay until you remove them or clear the app's data. Recently played stations are replaced as new stations are played. Cached data can remain stored until it is replaced or app data is cleared; a cache becoming too old to use does not necessarily erase its stored contents. On the web, this information is stored in browser site storage. Device or browser backup and restore features may retain or restore local data according to your system settings.
Directory requests
Opening Discover can contact directory services even before you choose a station. Radio Browser receives requests to discover available servers and load stations. Radio Browser search requests can contain the station name you enter and the genre filter you select. Requests also expose your IP address and ordinary connection information to the receiving service. The native app identifies its requests using the CX Radio app name and version; it does not add an account identifier to directory requests.
Wikidata receives a fixed request for station metadata and stream links. The current app filters Wikidata station names on your device; it does not include your entered search text in that Wikidata request. Wikidata still receives your IP address and ordinary connection information when its catalogue is requested. Wikimedia's published privacy policy describes using IP addresses to infer approximate location and to help secure and improve its services. This provider-side inference does not require CX Radio to request device location permission.
When a Radio Browser station begins playing after you explicitly select it, CX Radio also makes a station-click request to Radio Browser. That request includes the selected station's directory identifier and ordinary connection information. Radio Browser records station-click activity and the requesting IP address for popularity accounting and duplicate-click handling. Its public click feed can include station identifiers and timestamps. Retention and handling depend on that provider's practices and server configuration. This report is attempted once for that successful selection; ordinary pause/resume and buffering recovery do not create another report. Custom stations and Wikidata stations do not generate this Radio Browser click request.
Directory providers operate their own services. Their logging, retention, use of connection information, and international processing are governed by their policies and practices. See Radio Browser and Wikimedia's privacy policy for provider information.
Audio streams and external links
Playing a station connects your device directly to the station or its streaming provider. The provider receives your IP address, the requested stream address, and ordinary connection information. Stream redirects can connect to additional providers. A custom station's URL is stored locally when you save it and is sent to its host when you play it or open its source link. Do not enter confidential information into a station name or URL.
CX Radio does not host, record, or offer downloads of the broadcasts. Audio is buffered as needed for playback. The app uses its own station graphics and does not request remote station logos or cover artwork in this version.
Opening a source, support, or other external link opens a service outside the app. Its privacy practices apply. Coetic X LLC does not control the independent services' logging, advertising, retention, or international processing.
Permissions and connection security
The app is designed to play audio without microphone, camera, device-location, or media-library access. Background audio allows a selected station to continue when you leave the app or lock the screen. Android uses a media-playback foreground service and media controls for this purpose.
Directory requests use HTTPS. The app accepts HTTPS stream addresses and rejects addresses containing a username and password. A station controls its own stream, redirects, availability, and access requirements. Local app data is also subject to the security and backup settings of your device or browser.
Your choices
You can use CX Radio without an account, remove a saved station using its heart control, and stop playback using the Stop control. Stopping playback ends the active player; it does not retract requests already sent to a directory or stream provider, or stop a separate directory request already in progress.
This version does not have an in-app control to erase the entire recent list or catalogue cache. You can use your platform's app-data controls, remove the app, or clear the website's browser storage to remove local data, subject to platform backup and restore behavior. Coetic X LLC does not have access to your device's saved list through a CX Radio account service.
For questions about information held by an independent directory or broadcaster, contact that provider. You can also contact us at arber@coetic-x.com for help identifying the service involved. If you email us, your email address, message, and any attachments are processed to handle your request. Do not send passwords or sensitive information that is not needed to address the issue.
Delete your data
You can remove local CX Radio data or request deletion of information you have sent to Coetic X LLC. No CX Radio account is required.
- Remove data on your device. Use a station's heart control to remove it from favorites. To remove saved stations, custom station names and URLs, recent listening, and directory caches together, clear CX Radio's app data through your device settings where available, or delete the app. On iOS, choose Delete App rather than Offload App. If you use the web player, clear its browser site data. This version has no in-app control to erase the entire recent list or catalogue cache. Device or browser backups may retain or restore this data; review your platform's backup settings if you also want to remove a backup copy.
- Request deletion from Coetic X LLC. Email arber@coetic-x.com with the subject CX Radio data deletion. Tell us which support correspondence you want deleted and, if different, the email address you used to contact us. Send only information needed to locate your request; do not send passwords or sensitive details. We may ask for information needed to verify that the correspondence belongs to you.
- Request deletion from an independent provider. Directory services, broadcasters, streaming providers, and website hosting providers handle their own connection records. Contact the relevant provider about its records and deletion process. If you need help identifying the service or its contact information, email arber@coetic-x.com with the station or service involved. Coetic X LLC cannot promise deletion from another provider's systems.
What we can delete and what may be kept. Coetic X LLC can handle requests concerning support email addresses, messages, attachments, and related correspondence in our support mailbox. We do not operate a CX Radio backend that holds your favorites, custom stations, search history, or listening-history records, and cannot erase local data remotely. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted according to our support mailbox policy. A deletion request also creates correspondence used to handle that request. Any information that must be kept to meet an applicable legal retention duty is retained only for as long as that duty requires. Independent providers apply their own retention periods and exceptions, as described above.
Support messages
If you email us, we use your address, message, and any attachments to answer and troubleshoot your request. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted according to our support mailbox policy. You may request deletion by emailing arber@coetic-x.com, subject to any legal retention duty.
Static website
These CX Radio product, support, and privacy pages contain no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, cookies, or forms. They are hosted by Netlify, whose privacy notice is available here. Netlify may process ordinary technical access data, such as your IP address, request time, browser, and device information, to deliver and secure the site. These pages do not receive the app’s saved stations or listening history.

We will update the published policy when the app's practices change and show the effective date on that page.
