Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 11, 2026

This policy covers the CX Music Player apps for iOS and Android and their static product, privacy, and support pages.

Private by design CX Music Player has no account, ads, analytics, tracking, or backend. The app processes selected audio and library data inside its app container and does not upload them to Coetic X LLC or an app-integrated service. Imported music is kept in platform-private, no-backup storage; other small app data may still be managed under the operating system's backup policy.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy describes the CX Music Player apps for iOS and Android provided by Coetic X LLC (“CX Music Player,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the static CX Music Player product, privacy, and support pages. CX Music Player is a local music player for audio files a user explicitly chooses through the operating system's document picker.

2. Data the app processes on your device

To provide its music-player features, CX Music Player processes locally:

  • audio files and folders you select through the system document picker;
  • filenames, relative folder paths, file size, modification time, and duration;
  • compatible embedded titles, artists, albums, genres, disc and track numbers, and—on iPhone—bounded cover artwork;
  • confined local M3U8 playlist text and the ordered references that safely resolve inside the selected folder;
  • folder exclusions, hidden songs, Favorites, Saved Playlists, queue state, playback state, and app preferences;
  • Finds, Planned Playlists, notes, and public source links you deliberately save;
  • metadata-only playlist-sharing files you choose to create, preview, import, or share; and
  • an on-device SQLite index of the imported Library and music-planning records.

CX Music Player processes this information inside the app's container and does not upload selected audio, filenames, library or planning metadata, playback state, or identifiers to us or an app-integrated service. The operating system and selected document providers may independently handle downloads or backups as described below.

3. Folder access and imported copies

CX Music Player cannot silently scan your entire device. It can inspect only a directory you deliberately select in the operating system's document picker. It scans that selected directory and its subfolders so you can exclude folders that do not contain music.

When you confirm an import, selected tracks are copied into CX Music Player's private, no-backup app storage. The copy allows reliable offline playback after temporary picker access ends, but it uses additional device or downloaded cloud-provider storage. CX Music Player does not modify or delete the originals held by the selected document provider.

4. Network access, browser handoff, and sharing

CX Music Player's playback, library, and import features do not require our server and are designed to work offline. If you select a cloud-backed folder or another document provider, that provider or the operating system may use a network connection to make the chosen file available locally. That activity is controlled by the operating system or provider and is subject to its privacy policy, not a CX Music Player backend.

Optional Search Google and Search YouTube actions open one fixed query in your external browser only after you choose them. CX Music Player does not embed those sites, scrape results, download media, or receive the browser's results. A bounded metadata-only playlist file leaves the app only when you explicitly choose a system share destination; it never contains audio, local file paths, or API keys.

The current store release has no integrated streaming catalog or direct online metadata search. It does not access the Apple Music catalog or MusicKit and cannot play DRM-protected subscription downloads.

5. Permissions

CX Music Player does not request microphone, photo or media-library, contacts, location, advertising identifier, Bluetooth-discovery, local-network-discovery, or broad-storage access. Folder access is user initiated through the system document picker. Background playback uses the operating system's media-playback facilities.

6. Deletion and retention

You can remove imported music through CX Music Player's library controls. Deleting the app removes its app-owned audio copies, SQLite index, planning records, queue state, and preferences from the device. Your original source files remain with the selected document provider unless you delete them there yourself. Because the app has no account or backend, there is no server-side CX Music Player account or library data for us to delete.

7. Support messages

The app does not collect contact information. If you choose to email arber@coetic-x.com, your email provider sends us the address, message, and attachments you choose to include. We use that information only to answer and troubleshoot your request. Do not send audio files or sensitive information unless we specifically ask and you have the right to do so.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted according to our support mailbox policy. You may request deletion by emailing us, subject to any legal retention duty.

8. Static website

These product, privacy, and support pages contain no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, cookies, or forms. They are hosted by Netlify, whose privacy notice is available here. Netlify may process ordinary technical access data, such as IP address, request time, browser, and device information, to deliver and secure the site. Coetic X LLC does not receive app library or listening data through these pages.

9. Children

CX Music Player is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. Because the app has no account, backend, ads, analytics, or tracking, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. A parent or guardian can contact us with a concern.

10. Security and policy changes

On-device information is protected by the security controls of your phone and operating system. No storage method is risk-free, so keep your device updated, use a device passcode, and keep backups of source audio you do not want to lose. Imported music is stored in a platform-private, no-backup location. Other small app data, such as the Library index and preferences, may still be managed under the operating system's backup policy; CX Music Player does not control or receive those backups.

We may update this policy if CX Music Player's features or legal obligations change. The new effective date will appear above. If a future version introduces off-device collection, we will update this policy and the App Store and Google Play privacy disclosures before distributing that version.
