1. Who this policy covers
This policy describes the CX Music Player iOS app provided by Coetic X LLC (“CX Music Player,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the static CX Music Player product, privacy, and support pages. CX Music Player is a local music player for audio files a user explicitly chooses through Apple's Files picker.
2. Data the app processes on your device
To provide its music-player features, CX Music Player processes locally:
- audio files and folders you select in Files;
- filenames, relative folder paths, file size, and modification time;
- track titles and artist names inferred from filenames;
- folder exclusions, the playback queue, playback state, and app preferences; and
- an on-device SQLite index of the imported music library.
CX Music Player processes this information inside the app's container and does not upload selected audio, filenames, library metadata, playback history, or identifiers to us or an app-integrated service. Apple and selected File Providers may independently handle downloads or backups as described below.
3. Folder access and imported copies
CX Music Player cannot silently scan your entire iPhone. It can inspect only a directory you deliberately select in Apple's Files picker. It scans that selected directory and its subfolders so you can exclude folders that do not contain music.
When you confirm an import, selected tracks are copied into CX Music Player's private Application Support storage. The copy allows reliable offline playback after the temporary Files picker grant ends, but it uses additional device or downloaded cloud-provider storage. CX Music Player marks the imported-music directory excluded from device backups and does not modify or delete the original source files in Files.
4. Network access and third-party File Providers
CX Music Player's playback, library, and import features do not require our server and are designed to work offline. If you select a folder in iCloud Drive or another File Provider, that provider or iOS may use a network connection to make the chosen file available locally. That activity is controlled by Apple or the provider and is subject to its privacy policy, not a CX Music Player backend.
CX Music Player does not access the Apple Music catalog or MusicKit and cannot play DRM-protected subscription downloads.
5. Permissions
CX Music Player does not request access to your microphone, Photos library, Apple Music media library, contacts, location, advertising identifier, notifications, Bluetooth, or local network. The app enables iOS background audio only to continue music playback that you started and to provide Lock Screen and Control Center controls.
6. Deletion and retention
You can remove imported music through CX Music Player's library controls. Deleting the app removes its app-owned audio copies, SQLite index, queue state, and preferences from the device. Your original source files remain in Files unless you delete them there yourself. Because the app has no account or backend, there is no server-side CX Music Player account or library data for us to delete.
7. Support messages
The app does not collect contact information. If you choose to email arber@coetic-x.com, your email provider sends us the address, message, and attachments you choose to include. We use that information only to answer and troubleshoot your request. Do not send audio files or sensitive information unless we specifically ask and you have the right to do so.
Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted according to our support mailbox policy. You may request deletion by emailing us, subject to any legal retention duty.
8. Static website
These product, privacy, and support pages contain no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, cookies, or forms. They are hosted by Netlify, whose privacy notice is available here. Netlify may process ordinary technical access data, such as IP address, request time, browser, and device information, to deliver and secure the site. Coetic X LLC does not receive app library or listening data through these pages.
9. Children
CX Music Player is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. Because the app has no account, backend, ads, analytics, or tracking, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. A parent or guardian can contact us with a concern.
10. Security and policy changes
On-device information is protected by the security controls of your iPhone and iOS. No storage method is risk-free, so keep your device updated, use a device passcode, and keep backups of source audio you do not want to lose. CX Music Player marks its imported-music directory excluded from device backups. Other small app data, such as the library index and preferences, may still be managed by Apple's backup system; CX Music Player does not control or receive those backups.
We may update this policy if CX Music Player's features or legal obligations change. The new effective date will appear above. If a future version introduces off-device collection, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure before distributing that version.
