1. Agreement
These terms are between you and Coetic X LLC (“Coetic X,” “we,” or “us”) and govern your use of the Pilot Planner apps for iPhone and Android and the Pilot Planner pages on coetic-x.com. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Pilot Planner.
2. Pilot Planner is a study aid
Pilot Planner helps you revise private pilot licence theory. It is not an aviation authority, a flight school, or an approved training organisation, and it does not issue, verify, renew, or track the validity of any licence, rating, or medical certificate. Nothing in the app is operational flight advice.
Always rely on your approved training provider, your national aviation authority, and current official publications. Any licence or medical details you record in the app are a personal convenience only; keeping them accurate and current is your responsibility.
3. Your account
You need an account to use Pilot Planner. Give accurate registration details, keep your credentials to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are personal and must not be shared or resold.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
4. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Pilot Planner on devices you own or control, for your own study. You may not copy, resell, sublicense, rent, reverse engineer, scrape, or bulk-export the app or its content, remove notices, or use it to build a competing product, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Some features require a paid subscription. Prices and terms are shown before you confirm. Purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play, not by us, and are charged to that store account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your Pilot Planner account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled under the policy of the store you bought from. Where the law gives you a statutory right to cancel, that right still applies.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part ends when a paid subscription starts.
6. Content and intellectual property
Pilot Planner, its design, its software, and the study material we supply are owned by Coetic X LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You keep ownership of what you enter, and you grant us the limited licence needed to store and display it back to you in the app.
Study content is provided for revision. It is not a copy of any official examination bank, and passing practice questions does not guarantee any examination result.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Pilot Planner unlawfully, attempt to breach its security, interfere with its operation, access it by automated means, or upload material that is unlawful or infringes someone else’s rights.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features, and the service may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We will give reasonable notice of a material adverse change or discontinuation where we can.
9. Termination
You may stop using Pilot Planner and delete your account at any time from the account deletion page. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms or if we must do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pilot Planner is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we do not warrant that the content is error-free, complete, or current with any syllabus or regulation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coetic X LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or examination outcomes. Our total liability arising out of the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Apple and Google
Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for Pilot Planner. Where you obtained the app from the App Store, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them, and Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Your use must also comply with the applicable store’s terms of service.
12. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why, and forms part of your agreement with us.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Pilot Planner after that means you accept the updated terms.
